  1. Mar 20, 2022 · No, not that much. My main beef with the ending of that film is that, it doesn't feel like Jaime Foxx hasn't learned his lesson. He fools Gerald Butler, then watches his daughter's dance recital. His “victory” over Butler is cheap and doesn't feel like it's deserved. That being said, that shot in which he's looking at his daughter's ...

  2. I totally disagree on that and I bet that many think the same. I don't think it's a simple matter of a law abiding citizen turned evil but rather a law abiding citizen realizing that the justice system merely supports the suspects rather than the victims. Lawyers and prosecutors that choose for their own luck in life. I believe that he proved a ...

I don't know about movies exactly like Law Abiding Citizen, but I did like the legal part of that movie (which is probably pretty flawed, but interesting). One of my favorite movies is Double Jeopardy, which has a similar legal implication.

For those unaware, there's a very common belief that Jamie Foxx demanded at the last minute of production of Law Abiding Citizen to have his character 'win' and kill off Gerard Butler's character, when the original planned ending (that we all wanted) was to do the opposite. Apparently Foxx grumbled and threatened to cease working until he got ...

  9. Jul 31, 2018 · Two smart leads playing back and forth, and amazing action. "They are basically always one step ahead and it makes for great twist in the movies." -> Catch me if you can, Di Caprio & Tom Hanks play a great cat and mouse game. The Sixth Sense, The prestige, Now you see Me, Shutter Island.

  10. Foxx's character wanted to uphold the spirit of the law and his own morals, and his eyes were opened to the corruption and dangers hidden behind the words of the law. i dont think we're meant to root for either main character. one was a psychopath pushed to breaking and turning on the thing that broke him.
