Matthew Scott Holland (born June 7, 1966) has been a general authority of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since April 2020. He previously served as the 6th president of Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah , and its first president after UVU was granted university status (as opposed to a college).

Elder Matthew S. Holland is no stranger to General Authorities or general conferences. Many Latter-day Saints know him as the son of Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Others might remember him as a 17-year-old speaking during the April 1983 general conference priesthood session.

Born in Provo, Utah, he also spent time in his growing up years in California, Washington and Connecticut before his family returned to Utah where his father eventually became president of Brigham Young University.
