Btw, I've read the books by Diana Gabaldon too, so I might be biased a bit in my enjoying the series. Interestingly enough, I didn't like the second book either, it was the most boring of all books. Once you get past that, the books pick up once again (just like the original Outlander novel) again. Just hated the whole France thing.

Mar 23, 2022 · Something is just off. Outlander season 5 is like, a hallmark period drama, but with rape. Its not like the acting is worse or the quality of the dialogue is worse but it's something about the very soul of it. Mainly that it has none. Outlander doesn't have any of the intensity or the grit, any of the emotion.
May 4, 2023 · Block 2 also saw filming at Hunterston Estate which previously served as the interior of the Reverend’s Manse. A local on the Outlander Book Group also posted about seeing location signs nearby a “manse-looking” building. I did some (okay, a lot) of searching on Google Maps and finally found the place in the area she mentioned (Bo’ness).
