This enables you to set the password to 'password' on the machine. 1:open services.msc. 2: stop Sophos Anti-Virus. 3: open notepass as admin. 4: open C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Sophos Anti-Virus\Config\machine.xml.

We ditched other EDR solutions, including sophos, for defender+huntress. Works smoother than anything else we've used. Sophos felt like removing a virus.
Sep 23, 2022 · Under the Tools menu, there is Product Logging. Elevate the process and under the SSP section, set SSPService.exe to debug and click Save. The log file "C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Endpoint Defense\Logs\SSP.log" will then hopefully give you an idea as to what is happening that is keeping SSPService so busy.
Mar 17, 2023 · Sophos earned the reputation from v15 to v18. The product was the literal butt of jokes on release. Wasn't production stable until maybe v18. It's perhaps OK now on v19, but Sophos earned the hate. The main thing is instead of focusing on core reliability and basic stuff, they kept piling on fringe features. Basic stuff didn't work meanwhile ...
Apr 15, 2016 · Get the source of ur target etension in your %localappdata% and move it by usb or email to the target computer. Use chromes developer mode to manually load your extension. download 1.1.1.1 with warp from cloudflare. Turn it on when you need to bypass sophos. It's faster than a VPN.
Jul 5, 2023 · Overall, my experience with Sophos is good. I've been supporting firewalls for a very long time in the MSP space and they all have issues. I'm pretty good at SonicWall but have had Sophos Firewall Architect, Engineer and Tech certs for years which really helps with troubleshooting and config issues.
Nov 27, 2021 · Some kind of antivirus software called "Sophos" or "Sophos Endpoint" is installed on my friends home pc. He has no recollection of installing this and no one he has asked knows either, its asking for an admin password to be able to uninstall it and we don't know anything about it. The pc is not affiliated with any company or school so we're kinda stumped, does anyone know anything about this?
Nov 22, 2021 · Adios Sophos (Free Version is Gone) So it appears that the non-premium version of Sophos Home has been silently moved from "Free Edition" to "Free Trial". The dashboard is no longer functional and after updating the software it appears essentially bricked with nothing but an ad for premium. Feels like the beginning of the end for Sophos.

Jun 30, 2021 · Yes, They are that bad. I recently had the opportunity to rip apart a Sophos firewall. You'll all be happy to know that their firewalls are factory overclocked Core i5 systems in a lot of cases. I'm not sure if I want to trust my data to a firewall with an out-of-spec processor and no ECC memory.
