Tuskegee (/ t ʌ ˈ s k iː ɡ i / tuh-SKEE-ghee) is a city in Macon County, Alabama, United States. General Thomas Simpson Woodward , a Creek War veteran under Andrew Jackson , laid out the city and founded it in 1833.
