Mar 25, 2021 · Vernon is a quaint, peaceful community located on M-71 in Shiawassee County, just off I-69 twenty minutes west of Flint and forty minutes east of Lansing. The Village was incorporated in 1871 and operates under the General Law Village Act with a seven member council consisting of six trustees and a Village President.
