In English, when someone says something vulgar or crude, you might reply "Charming", but mean it sarcastically (i.e. that isn't charming; it's offensive). Is there a Spanish equivalent? Would you just say encantador, but sarcastically? Any suggestions gladly appreciated! K.

It seems the two are really the same. "Glamorous" does have that meaning, hly2004. For me, "glamorous" means superficially attractive, while charming means intrinsically attractive.
Apr 29, 2011 · Senior Member. England, English. Apr 29, 2011. #2. Yes, I think Charming should be capitalized. It stands as a name, not simply an adjective. Of course, Prince should be capitalized if it is part of a name, as in "Prince William" (but not in "William is a prince").

Something like: "As mean as it sounds...the guy who acts like Prince Charming usually looks like Shrek." would make more sense as a joke.
