Belum is located North, between East and West coast of the Peninsula. Nevertheless, it is not predominantly influenced by the Northeast monsoon, and tends to be drier between December and April. Best times to visit Belum Temenggor. Although January-March remains the driest months.
Belum is a national park that is located about 2 hours drive from Ipoh. It is less commercialized in relative to others in the country. The whole rain forest is scattered with man-made islands resulted from the construction of the Temenggor hydroelectric dam decades ago.
